A New Kind of
African Conglomerate

Henko Group (Pty) Ltd was conceived in 2020 and formally registered as a standalone entity in 2023. From inception, the vision has been singular: to build an authentically African, majority Black Women-Owned enterprise capable of delivering world-class integrated solutions across the continent's most critical sectors.

Under the leadership of CEO Chenéz L. Henderson, Henko has grown from a single-focus business into a diversified group of 9 subsidiaries spanning energy, mining, engineering, technology, logistics, fuels and social impact.

Today, Henko Energy alone carries a 1,500+ MW pipeline valued at $1.8B CapEx, with certified gas reserves of 454 Bcf, an NPV of $716M and a blended IRR of 25.7%. The group has been recognised at the BRICS PartNIR Forum in Xiamen (2026), Enlit Africa 2026, UNIDO A2D Programme and AWIEF.

  • 2020
    FoundedHenko Group conceived by Chenéz L. Henderson in Rustenburg, North West Province.
  • 2021
    First ContractsMining OEM supply and engineering contracts secured with mine operators in SA and Botswana.
  • 2022
    Energy Division LaunchedHenko Energy established. Solar PV EPC and gas-to-power project development commences.
  • 2023
    Standalone IncorporationHenko Group (Pty) Ltd registered as an independent holding company. Kilovox and RegenX subsidiaries established.
  • 2024–25
    FerroFlow PartnershipRegenX bioremediation and Kilovox IoT monitoring activated at FerroFlow Washplant, Mooi Nooi. Anglo American Platinum engagements deepen across Rustenburg operations.
  • 2025
    International RecognitionUNIDO A2D Programme participant. AWIEF membership. Pretoria and Lusaka offices opened.
  • 2026
    Global StageEnlit Africa (dtic Green Economy stand). BRICS PartNIR Forum, Xiamen — Henko Energy presented to international sovereign and institutional investors.

Chenéz L. Henderson founded Henko Group with a clear mandate: to prove that a 100% Black Women-Owned enterprise can compete and win at the highest levels of African industry. Her vision has shaped a group that now spans nine distinct business verticals, with an energy portfolio presented to sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors on the global stage.

Her leadership has earned Henko Group recognition from UNIDO, the dtic, AWIEF and the BRICS business community. Under her stewardship, the group has maintained its Level 1 B-BBEE status — a reflection not only of ownership credentials but of genuine transformation in employment, enterprise and supply chain development.

Chenéz leads from the front — navigating complex project finance structures, forging OEM partnerships with global equipment manufacturers, and championing green technology solutions that serve both commercial and environmental imperatives.
